Why do I need to care about my beard?

Can I just use hair care products on my beard?
No because Facial hair is constructed differently to head hair. Due to the hair follicles, facial hair is generally thicker and of a more wiry texture than hair on your head. The skin under the hair is also different. Hair on your Scalp mcan be thinner and straighter, whereas beard hair can be thick and curly. Therefore use products that are designed for the correct hair.
What is beard oil and what does it do?
Beard Oil is easy to use and should be used every day. It is a combination of all natural oils that help moisturize your beard, keep it healthy, and give off a great scent. The end result is a softer, healthier, shinier (not greasy), and less wild beard. Use oil before you brush your beard or mustache. If you use styling products like balm or wax then beard oil makes that process better.

What is Beard Balm and what does it do?
Beard Balm is designed to nourish and lightly style your facial hair and compliments Beard Oil. In general balm has a natural Shea or Cocoa butter base and has balm/paste/cream consistency. Beard balm often includes beeswax and types of butter to assist with styling. It helps to shape your beard, tames flyaway hair, and also makes your beard look thicker.

What is Mustache Wax and what does it do?
Mustache Wax has a higher concentration of Beeswax added to the base. This allows for more control over your mustache/beard and allows for firm holding of twists, points, and curls.

Will Beard Oil help to stop itchy skin?
Both beard oil and balms can help stop itching as they moisturize and nourish the skin helping to relieve itching as well as helping control beard-druff.
Will a beard oil help with growth?
Although the rate your hair grows is set in your genes, beard oils that contain unrefined jojoba and pure hemp seed oil help create the conditions for healthy growth, this leads to less breakage of the hair shafts so your beard will get thicker and longer at a faster rate.
Are The Beard and The Wonderful products tested on animals?
No way Hose. We do not test any of our products on animals.
Should I buy beard oil and balm in big stores such as Boots, Walmart, Tesco or John Lewis?
That is entirely up to you although mass produced products are quite often filled with chemicals, preservatives and all other kinds of strange ingredients. Check the back before you buy.
Are The Beard and The Wonderful products suitable for people with nut allergies?
Yes our products contain no nut based oils like other brands, so no coconut oil, almond oil or any other comes near our production facilities.
What is in Beard Oil, Beard Balm and Mustache Wax?
The Beard and The Wonderful Beard Oil has a blend of premium grade natural base oils and essential oils for added fragrance. The oils we use are Jojoba Oil, Hemp Oil, and Cedarwood Oil.
Our Beard Balm has the same oils along with natural Shea butter and beeswax.
Ingredients
Jojoba Oil - A very important ingredient because jojoba oil is very close to the skins naturally produced oils which can get washed away. Jojoba oil is absorbed quickly and is packed with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
Hemp Oil - Hemp oil is loaded with vitamins A, C, E, proteins, Beta-carotenes, and is rich in essential omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. It moisturises and helps stimulate hair growth. Perfect for all skin and hair types.
Shea Butter - The luxurious Shea Butter is a glorious product that is rich in vitamins, nutrients, and minerals and it helps to not only nourish and control the beard hair but also helps prevent itchiness, dry and flaky skin.
Beeswax - An essential ingredient to give hold for for balm and wax is the ingredient Beeswax. It melts easily and solidifies again quite quickly. It is a bit too stiff to simply use on it's own so requires other ingredients to soften it up such as shea butter. Not only giving hold, Beeswax also gives the hair essential nutrients such as vitamin A.
